CAVEAT: Biking speed is generally much higher while running speed is lower in real life. So you can expect to burn substantially more calories biking, especially if you have strong legs 💪

I always discuss how cardio should never be your main priority while trying to lose fat and that is mainly because you can undo all the burned calories in a few minutes. In other words, if your diet is not on point no matter how much cardio you do, you won't lose any fat. 🍳

That doesn't mean you shouldn't incorporate cardio into your routine. In fact, I recommend you do so for the cardiovascular health but it shouldn't be your main priority and you shouldn't overdo it. 👍

Good article! However Biking doesn’t burn more because of the speed. It’s because running doesn’t take much effort and biking you’re constantly turning a wheel with your feet. Running is mostly momentum followed by falling gracefully on one foot at a time. Just thought I’d throw that in there.
