PLYOMETRICS: SINGLE LEG VARIATIONS
.
📚Most athletes expose themselves to high impact landing while playing sports. Recurrent hard landings can lead to degeneration of the ankle, knee, and hip joints. Learning to land softly and to decelerate the weight of the body will significantly lower the force of impact and decrease the risk of injury across joints. For all the exercises in this series, focus on keeping the spine in neutral alignment, hinge at the hips and knees without allowing excessive valgus/varus forces at the knee; allow the weight of the body evenly distributed throughout the foot.
.
✅ You will need a box jump and hurdle to perform the exercises in this series.
.
🔘Lateral Land - Jump over the hurdle with two feet and stick the landing softly with one on the opposite side.
.
🔘Jump to SL Land - Take off the ground with two feet and land with one foot softly on the box.
.
🔘SL Land - Step off the box with one foot and land softly.
