    Push's Cycle Log

Great log. You look awesome and look heavier than 175 (think that was the last weight you posted). I like the 100 rep workout you posted earlier. Good stuff. Keep it up!

    Merry Christmas and many thanks

Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to all on the MC site. And many thanks to Presser for running the best site out there and all the great contributors to it. For the short time I’ve been on I’ve gained a lot of great info.

    New/Old guy

I was in non-sanctioned shows. I looked at going into an AAU or NABBA show but joined the Army and stopped competing. I had a good time competing regardless.

    New/Old guy

Good to have another new old guy. I’m 56 but nowhere near your size. (5’6”, 195). Are you competing in any masters shows? Last time I stepped on stage was in ‘83 and thinking about a masters show in the next year or two.

    Protein drink pre workout?

I take some creatine, 3000mcg sublingual B12, and caffeine pre workout if I train at 0500. On weekends if I train later at 0800 I’ll have a protein meal and a little carbs 2 hours prior to training. I usually sip BCAA’s throughout my workout.

Presser what is up with the new ranks

The 100 rep sets are an ass kicker (go to failure each set, rack and pause for a second, go to failure again, repeat until you hit 100). Did that with squats a week ago and the legs were sore for a week. At my age I can do that and keep the weight lighter giving the joints some relief but still...

Presser what is up with the new ranks

Coming from someone new to the site and pinned with the f—k tard label I consider it an honor and right of passage! At 56 years old I still manage to hit the weights hard 6 days a week doing old school drop sets and using some of Steve Michalik’s old principles. Enjoy the holidays everyone!
