Yesterday I buried a friend of mine.....he was 41 years old. He was a great guy..just got married to a beautiful 33 year old woman 8 months ago. He worked his ass off from about 12 years old until he was 39. He built a very succesful business in those years....so successful that a large company purchased it from him for a very substatial amount of money. In the last 2 years he and his girlfriend/wife had beed traveling all over the world since he is now retired.
Last Wednesday he and his wife were going to South Bend, Indiana to pick up a 39 Roadster that was going to be traded for some type of old Harley(he was a very avid Harley Davidson guy.) They were traveling on I-80 pulling a car trailer...my friend took off his seatbelt to take off his jacket because he was hot....before he could get it(seatbelt) put back on....a semi in the slow lane changed lanes without giving a shit (like they always do) and clipped the rear of his truck sending it and the trailer into the median rolling several times. My friend was ejected from the truck and the truck came to rest on his lower body. His wife was uninjured and held his head in her arms until he died...right on the side of the road.
After speaking with her yesterday going to the funeral and visiting there unbelievable home last night (they just completed it) i came to realize that so many things in my life that I take for granted. And how all the money, muscles ,good looks or material bullshit we acquire in our short lives means absolutely nothing.I justed wanted to share this with you..so maybe you all could take that extra minute in your life to tell the people that mean a lot to you the the things that need to be said. Thanks...
My friends name is Kevin Lowe and today is his birthday.................456 ..... Rest in peace homie
