i don't have a ton of experience with boxing competetively, i just did it for a few months one summer because a guy convinced me to. a workout routine for a boxer/fighter should be built around a combination of explosive power and endurance. fighting for even just a few rounds gets tiring as hell, and you obviously want to be able to knock a guy out rather than win by points every time. i know of a guy who fights in some style called Nak Muay, i'll see if he can come asnwer your question better.
