I used to do push ups and pull ups all the time, but have gotten away from them. Since I've had some time here lately, I've decided to start doing push ups on one day and pull ups on the next day and try to keep this going in a cycle, I used to be quite strong and had decent development simply from doing these and nothing else when I was younger, so I thought maybe if I incorporate them now, I might make some progress in functional strength.
 
I havent done pushups regularly since I was in Highschool, and when I did do them I like using the hexagon dumbells and doing pushups with them as I got more of a strectch coming down
 
I like to do pushups when I can't get to the gym which unfortunately happens to me a good bit due to work... When I do I like to do five sets of thirty and then some dumbell curls for 5 sets of 10. This gives me a great pump and makes missing the gym not quite so bad. Sometimes I'll have my daughter sit on my back for more resistance or my nephew when I really want to up the ante...

Those door jam mountable pull up bars are nice too, used to have one but I broke it, lol!

Definitely doesn't take the place of the gym but I like to do what I can with what I have for those days I can't make it.
 
I am actually doing a second chest workout and back workout using body weight moves right now just for something different. Seems to be working. My chest hit 50 for the first time ever. I do it on a cardio day a full day after hitting back or chest no matter what. Preferably two minimum.
