Im 12 weeks away from a Key West vacation for my buddies wedding. Ive been carbing up heavy since thanksgiving (good carbs) and im 210lbs on the home scale. My bf last night was 17.2. I am batting gastritis and an ulcer so for now there will be no protein powders or pre/post wo supplementation other than food.

Plan- First 6 weeks carb load with 1 cardio session everyday. Carb load will look like this.

mon- less than 150 carbs
tues- less than 150 carbs
wed- less than 150 carbs
thurs- less than 150 carbs
fri- between 150-250 carbs
sat- between 150-250 carbs
sun- between 250-400 carbs

Second 6 weeks will be a slow carb depletion that worked well for me over the summer before my cruise. Ill start at 150 carbs a day for 2 weeks, drop down to 100 for the next 2 weeks, and 50 carbs the final 2 weeks. I may start to carb up 3 days before we leave.

Right now my low carb days is as follows

1 Banana on the way to the gym for Cardio

Meal 1- 2 packs cream of wheat 8 slices of boars head low sodium turkey breast

Meal 2- 10 egg whites on a gutted roll w swiss, 1 serving unsalted mixed nuts

Meal 3 (post workout)- 1 cup oats w/ 1 tsp brown sugar, 8 slices turkey breast

Meal 4- 10oz chicken breast 1 cup brown rice

Meal 5- 10oz chicken breast reduced fat unsalted cottage cheese

Meal 6- Steak or Chicken Breast w broccoli florets or asparagus

Snack- Jello cups (sugar free) or Pudding Cups (sugar free, 6 carbs per serving)


Havent gotten to my Med carb days but I will post when I get there...

Yesterday was medium carb day, today is going to look pretty much exactly the same

Pre- Cardio- 1 banana

Meal 1- 3 packets cream of wheat, 8 slices turkey breast

Meal 2- 10 egg whites on a gutted roll w swiss, 1 serving unsalted deluxe mix nuts

Meal 3- 1 cup oats w tsp brown sugar, 8 slices turkey breast

Meal 4- 10oz chicken breast, sweet potato

Meal 5- 12oz ny strip, 1 cup brown rice, unsalted low fat cottage cheese

Meal 6- Ground Turkey 1/8th packet low sodium taco seasoning on a WW Low carb wrap x 2

300 protein
235 carb

when you say 8 slices of turkey breast, are you talking about deli meat ? if it is, then that is loaded with sodium and can make your ulcer worst...are you taking anything for it ?
 
Hey Chris, yes Im taking dexilant for another 4 weeks once a day then i have to repeat the GI Series. My doctor wanted me to get the endoscopy done but i was reluctant and asked if we could go with a plan B first. I also got blood work done last tues to see if the ulcer was caused by the H. Pylori bacteria, so he can treat it with anti biotics.

Yes, unfortunately it is the boars head skinless low sodium turkey breast. Since i cant do protein powders im at a lose for what i can pack with me thats convenient and going to give me some quick protein with low carbs and fat
