Well guys, got my Amino Infusion from P.N. yesterday. So today I decided to give it a go. I put 3oz. in to a water bottle, mixed it up. (diluted it down, its orange flavored) and started to slip on it 30 mins pre workout. I was pretty tired when I started training, but as I went on I felt better, and better. I was training quads today, and that was pretty much it. Sarah was training with me, and she just wanted to do quads together. So it wasnt going to be a crazy heavy workout, but more of a high rep workout. I started with leg press, with my feet down low, so to hit my teardrop muscle's right above my knee. I started out light, but worked my way up to heavier weight. But focused more on TUT (time under tension) doing slow negatives (5 seconds down, and 1 second pause, and 2 seconds positive) my last set I did a rest pause set with 820lbs, doing 20 reps first round (remember its TUT) and then hitting 5 more reps after a quick pause, then 5 more reps on my final rest pause. After these leg presses, I had a huge, huge pump in my lower quads. My teardrops felt like they where on fire, and my quads where pumped to the max. After that I went on to slow negative leg extensions doing 3 sets of 15 reps, my final set I did a pause at the top if each rep on my last 5 reps. My quads where on fire, I had so much blood in engorged in my quads, they felt like tree trunks. I decided that my final quad movement would be front squats. On these I didnt go heavy, but focus on going all the way down, ass to the floor and pushing up all the way to the top, short of locking out my knees. I did 3 sets of these, 10 reps each, going all the way down to the floor before coming up close to lock out. Each rep after 6-7 was torture as I felt like my legs where going to explode. Overall, it was a great workout, and I felt like the amino infusion had a big influence on the pump in my legs. Right now, as I sit here to write this my legs feel pretty good. Not totally recovered but better than normal. I think the real test is to see how my quads feel in a couple days, plus see how I feel overall. Being that im on a low calorie, low carb diet. My recovery rate these past few weeks have been slower than normal, and I've had to take extra days out from the gym or change up my cardio program. Im hoping the amino infusion will be able to help me put more intensity into my workouts, cause my recovery rate will be better or at a higher rate. I will keep this thread updated daily (along with my training log) as to how I feel the amino infusions are working with my body...so stay tuned ... :lurk:
