Just wanted to say to everyone at MC, happy holidays and I hope all your goals for 2012 come true. But, I also want to say aim high, not low on your goals. The only reason I say that is if you dont aim high, you wont reach them no matter what. I know its safe to be relistic on them, but why settle for less than your best. I have been a heavyweight for the past 10 years now. I have competed as a superheavy just once in the past 6-7 years now. But, what if I have said 5 years ago, SCREW IT im competing as a superheavy next year. Where would I be now ? Prob, a damn good superheavy. But I never set my goals that high. I also, said (to be safe) I want to be at the top of the heavyweights (224.5) and guess what I have been for the past 4-5 years now. Im alway's right at the limit of 223-224lbs. But, never really over. Until this past year, the one year I didtn care what I weighed, because my daughter was sick, and i was just competing for her. So what happened, I competed as a super (at 229.5lbs) and looked good without really trying. Then what did I do at the Battle of Champions ? I set my goals low, said the same thing. Compete at the top of the heavy's. What happened, I probably overdieted some muscle off (im sure of it) and didnt look as good as I wanted to. What if I said, im being a superheavy, and going to look better than I did at the state show. I probably wouldve been a super, and im sure I couldve looked better than in earlier of the year. So my goal next year ? Is to be a legit SUPERHEAVY, screw staying close to contest weight, screw taking it easy during the holidays. Im just gonna do what the judges have been telling me for the past 7-8 years now. Compete as a legit superheavy. Im going to do this, and Im going to look my BEST ever. Im sure of it. I dont care about age, or my nagging injury's, nothing is going to stop me. 2012 is going to be a GREAT year. Im ready for it, so it better be ready for me...Now go out and set your GOALS high as hell, and achieve them.
