Anyone ever take a few days or maybe a week off just to recover? I've just felt exhausted lately. I'm working out hard and not sleeping well and it's taking a toll, so I'm going to take four or five days off from the gym to let my body recharge. Then hopefully I can hit it hard again.
 
yes, if that is what you body needs then do it...

when I was younger it would bother me, now that I've gotten older I've found that taking the extra rest is really the only way that I can make progress
 
Absolutely. I usually take a week completely of from training every 8-10 weeks or so.
 
just rest and eat! ... i bet you after 4 days you will be hanging to get back into the gym,...

your lifts will be stronger too.. i take about a week off every 3 months or so to help the CNS recharge
