Crowded Gym

My gym is just now starting to get a little more crowded. We didn't really have the January 1st rush I was expecting, but now it's growing every week. I go to the water fountain between every set and last night everytime I came back to my machine, either someone would be trying to get on it or would be lurking close by.

Yeah I honestly believe it's the bad economy. Our gym is same way plus our store here at MC is showing lowest numbers in 12 years for December and January. It's got to be the economy!!!!

It's my experience as a trainer that gyms don't get really busy until the 3rd week of Jan .. Not sure if they need to recover from xmas bills or get the motivation to step through the doors .. It's crazy until middle week of March and after they do their " winter vacations " they slack again . Some diehards do make it to gym Jan 1 .. They might last longer ..

Yeah, we always have that first sunny week in March and everyone disappears from the gym.

Now's the time that people start thinking about the beach too. You get to around 3-4 months and now they decide they're going to get in shape. It's annoying, I dealt with the same problem you had tonight. This little shit thought he was just going to waltz into the gym and jump right on the leg extension without seeing if anyone was using it. Needless to say, he had to wait

Yeah, it's a pain. I like to go to the water fountain between every set. Sometimes I'll hang a towel or something on the machine I'm using just to mark it, but I don't feel like I should have to do that.
