This is the one exercise I feel that is exremely hard to keep great form on. Its this list that has to go thru my head as I try to keep on top of all of it-
1) Ass down as if im going to sit on the toilet
2) get really close to shins
3) push weight thru my heels not balls of feet
4) keep back in alignment
5)keep breathing
6) dont let knees come in medially

lol this is why this exercise gets me.

Any good tricks to just staying focused on one thing for these?

I'm still trying to perfect my form. I'm still only going up to 155 lbs. and trying to make sure every rep is the same. Keeping my back straight is key and remembering to move everything together, not lges then back.

I have good form as long as I don't go over 315.. After that it gets a little shitty.. But being 6'3" dosen't help at all !!!

This is one that seems to take years for some people and others.... it's just not a good fit for their body. I may over simplify my form, but I've been doing them for 15 years. I start with the bar touching my shins and hands are just wider than shoulder width. I sink down with my quads and hips, look forward and pick it up in one steady motion. I'll hit 600 on good days for 8.

And I keep the bar as close to my body as I can, I've got scars on my shins from dragging the bar up my shins even when I have shorts on. I love seeing the blood drip down my shins, it's like an adrenaline rush for me.
