Hey all, I started to go on one of these when I started trying to cut up. My best friend has been a solo trainer at various Golds Gyms for years, and competes in shows..
He advised me against it. He said that it's extremely hard on your kidneys, and that when you do your carb up days, and when you stop the diet, that your body is more likely to start storing all future carbs as fat because it sees itself as starving.
So, I'm wondering, I think I'm getting pretty good results by keeping my carbs low, and in the morning or early afternoon, about 150 - 200 a day.
But, would a CKD be far more effective, do you guys think they are safe? Do you think they are worth the trouble for the difference they can make over my current diet?
If anyone needs more details I'll be happy to give them,
thanks,
KC
