Bad Luck...

Well, me and the gf were looking for a house and haven't been able to find anything, but it had seemed that we had something lined up and looking promising. Then I go to work today and as I'm leaving and get on the interstate, I snap a rod in my engine so it looks like I'll need to spend the money we've saved to get another car. I guess when one thing goes right, there's always got to be one thing go wrong or my world isn't right lol.

I know that everything happens for a reason and I am kind of excited to get another car, it's just not the best of time for this to happen. But on the bright side, at least we hadn't gotten the house and I've actually got money to spend right now

Life is all about perspective brother. To me it looks like someone was looking out for you. Better to have the auto problems when you have the money and aren't strapped with a mortgage. I don't see house values doing anything but continuing the slow decline for quite a while. Now when you get the new house, you'll also have a nice new ride to park in front of it!!

I think you have the right outlook- life does suck sometimes, but I strongly believe things happen for a reason.

Yea, I believe everything happens for a reason and I know somewhere down the road this will allow some positive thing to happen. I don't really care too much about the car, I just hate being without one and having to find rides everywhere, that's the biggest pain in the ass. The car can be replaced, nobody was hurt, which is the best thing so it's no biggie to me, just a slight inconvenience for the time being
