How does protein turn to glucose. I thought only carbs could do that and that too much protein would get stored as fat? I'm trying to get into competition shape for female figure, but nutrition is confusing me. I'm attempting a cyclical keto diet. For the days I have virtually now carbs, I eat as much protein as I can get and a little more fat than usual. Is that extra protein turning into glucose?
