I've posted some of the conditioning workouts I'm doing with a female trainer. She's a former figure competitor turned cross-fitter, runner and triathlete.
I work out with her doing conditioning because I never do any of that on my own.
So here's today's 30 minute workout:
Warmup:
"Crossjacks" with 5 lb db's in hands 45 seconds; 15 seconds rest; repeat x 3
Up next is 4 rounds of 4 exercises:
10 box jumps
10 elevated pushups (feet on box)
15 db swings with 50 lb db
15 db bemch press with 50 lb db
NO REST, do above 4 times.
3 sets of hanging "flutter kicks" for 30 seconds followed by 30 seconds rest. So, hang from pullup bar; legs out in front like a leg raise; then kick up and down rapidly while in that 90 degree leg raise for 30 seconds.
I am so out of breath and drenched in sweat after these sessions! She always has something different; once in a while we repeat a routine and she compares performance to last time.
I HATE that she reduces me to crawling around on the floor, gasping for breath!! LOL! Not good for the male ego!
