How to tell if your getting scammed

For the past decade or so i always went through a gym hookup but we moved last year so it wasnt as easy to return just for gear... So i started doing research and found what i thought was a very reputable place and made my order. Communication was great until the payment was accepted. Its been 2 weeks since and nothing. I've emailed to check the status and the response is always the same 'getting on it'...
It was supposedto be domestic and take 3 days. I'm at 14 now. Should i throw in the towel or is there still hope??
This is my first time going through the internet so im not used to the process...

I agree, it doesn't sound good, but maybe you'll get it, not sure what would be taking so long. The good thing is that you're at least getting some communication

why would they? by the time word gets around that you got scammed they can rip off a few other people...

look at the bright side (like said above) at least your getting some comm.

maybe they are on back order-be nice if they told you (another thing they don't want people to know they are on back order because that would cost them business)

I was always told 2 weeks domestick 4 weeks international...anything more than that good luck

something else that you have to look at is how long has the source been around? if they have been around for awhile that shows something...

you have to remember that shit happens and maybe they have to lay low for a few weeks due to pressing circumstances...

if they have been around for several years and have a good rep then you might be OK and if they are worth a damn then they will compensate you for the wait...

sometimes they have to lay low to protect everyone...then again they might be scamming you

I think theyve been around for a couple years and they have a fairly high rating on a different board...so maybe there is still hope. It seems like they are getting decent reviews but i am now questioning how legit the reviews are...
I just hope for the sake of morality these ppl arent just scamming dudes out of their hard earned cash. It take a real fuckhead to do something like that.

If they've been around for a while then you should be ok. You just have to keep in mind that domestic brings a lot of heat so it might be in the best interest of each party if they hesitate, but I'd wait for another week or so before you start getting excited

some are selective scammers where some will get products some don't, if you get burned just chalk it up to experience

I'd agree with Dorian and Big. They are probably just behind on getting product in or getting things shipped. I know that the longest weeks of your life are the ones when you are waiting for your order to arrive.

Bro, I'll be honest with you, the longest I waited was 6 months. I'd already chalked it up as a loss and had given up all hope and then it was there

Nothing you can do now BUT sit back and wait..while you're doing that keep researching..stressing on it won't help anything..tons of research will tho

i really appreciate all the input here. i'm going to give it 2 more weeks then reorder elsewhere. i really wanted to start today but another 14 days isnt going to kill me. i will say that the waiting game sucks. i'm not known for having a lot of patience so this will be a good oppurtunity to work on that too..fuck....

I hate the waiting game so I'd rather pay the extra couple of dollars-sometimes it doesn't always work that way
