I just saw a hematologist, getting tested for gene mutation but if it’s normal he told me secondary polycythemia is ok just keep donating when I can an hct of 18-19 is ok

20 is the Red Cross cut off for some reason. I got that warning when I was 19.3

I did double red tue. I have an appointment with a hematologist tomorrow

I’m going to have to postpone. Saw the docs assistant and they want me to see a hemotologist. They freaked out at 17.2 doc didn’t care at 18 oh well hoping I can get therapeutic phlebotomy. This new assistant use to work for a hemo doc

Tomorrow I will see where my blood is at and go from there.

My numbers were towards the top before trt. My dose has been lowered and I really feel the difference on that. I’m kinda stuck Ive tried other doctors don’t want to do trt seems to be a four letter word around here

Ya I’ve been asking I’ll find out on tue what it’s at now. Since August I’ve only eaten red meat 2 or 3 times. No spinach or multi vitamins

I’ve been trying to get my doc to do it but he said he may send me to a he hematologist. I was high 17 before trt 19.3 last time I donated. For the few years I’ve been on trt it was never a concern until now or at least he didn’t notice until now

You and mj have helped me significantly and I greatly appreciate it. I will be posting a lot more soon, doc app and blood donation on tue then the cycle will be on.
