Thanks!
I completely missed this thread until this morning!
I had to tell the wife and kids - no birthday cake - but thanks anyway... I did grill out some nice tenderloin steaks to go with my green leafy salad - the steaks were great!
Thanks for the birthday wishes - 44 this year.
Man... if...
Skips help was great
Have to tell everyone that I enjoyed working with Skip for the final three weeks. I would recommend to anyone serious about doing your best to use Skip as a coach.
It was very helpful to have someone competent to bounce ideas and strategies off of and to get quality...
Here are a few pics from yesterdays contest. I brought home a fouth place trophy in the Mens Masters Div. of the VA/DC NPC State show.
First and second went to two light weights about 5'2" tall but very ripped with great symetry. They deserved it. I think that I gave the 3rd place winner a...
Brett is still the man
Looked to me like a couple of receivers turned the wrong way and/or tripped themselves up - I think that at least two of those passes were right on the money
Moss sure had a great game - very impressive catches...
Thanks Sachet and sugaa
Thanks for the positive comments - I need you two to be NPC Judges in VA!
Took some new pics today - waiting for Skip to tell me all the wrong things I'm doing in the poses - lol Just can't seem to get my leg placement right. I tried to figure out what Presser was...
Thanks Presser
Thanks Presser - Getting more help with improving my mandatory poses is on my list of "things for Skip to do" - lol
Hopefuly he will also pick up on these small things that make a difference. I plan to send him better pics of all the mandatory poses later this week for...
Why get bigger?
Sachet
I always hate losing weight during the pre-contest diet. Even though I realize that conditioning and symetry are what wins a contest it is still awful hard to feel that you are giving up size to get there. SO...if you start out with more muscle (bigger) when you lean...
Here are some two week out pics taken today. Still working on getting the poses just right - not there yet. Gotta get bigger for next year - at least that is the plan, but for an "old" Masters natty it is a slow process.
Skip is coaching me through the final stretch and the shitload so I hope...
Encouraging trial run results
After pics look good - noticable hardening, better definition, etc. Did he drink any water on Sat morning? Did the softening around 11 occur without having consumed any water? Did he run into any problems with bloat or non-aromatic gasious discharge - lol? He...
Back width
Saks - It is not so much the width of your grip as it is getting a full stretch and contraction. In fact too wide a grip can just be hard on your shoulder and elbow joints. Have you ever tried palms facing narrow grip pull downs? Or one armed cable pull downs? A third thing to...
Pics turned out ok
Saks - These pics turned out ok for a cheap throw away camera. You have a good frame and a solid foundation, your shoulders are big and wide and I think that you would be very surprised at how good you would look once you got on a diet plan that started to bring down your BF...
I'm just a shitloader in training, but I have done a trial run and plan to use this strategy in three weeks for my contest. I'll try to give you my understanding of how the process works and Skip can correct me where I'm wrong when he has time to chime in. He is the Shitloading guru... and I...
