when i had surgery in 8th grade on my shoulder i remember that i was a young lad and just started lifting, i wole up in the recovery room and thought that if i flexed my forearm and flexed my bicep that i would minimize my muscle loss!! haha...fat chance on that, i came out with a what i thought...
the only reason that people say most of your protein should come from food is cuz there is alot of stuff that the protein shakes dont have and food does and is beneficial to you.
what always amazes me is when people come up to me and say they are frustrated cuz they arent making any gains and say they take protein shakes. i am like, well, how many do you consume?? what is your protein intake for the day other than the shakes?? well...everyone has no idea. i tell them...
