Outside of the Olympia and Arnold Classic competitions, the New York Pro is one of bodybuilding’s most notable titles to win. Since 2005, 14 men have won this title. Among those winners are Mr. Olympia winners Phil Heath, Dexter Jackson, and Mamdouh “Big Ramy” Elssbiay. Jackson is the only man to have won the Olympia, Arnold Classic, and New York Pro titles.

After two years in Florida due to the pandemic, the New York Pro is back in the Tri-State area. On Saturday, May 21, 2022, the contest will take place at the Marriott at Glenpointe in Teaneck, NJ, and host nine IFBB Pro League divisions: Men’s Open, Men’s Physique, 212, Women’s Bodybuilding, Figure, Women’s Physique, Bikini, and Wellness.
None of the prior Men’s Open winners are making a return, so fans are guaranteed a 15th NY Pro champion. The list of Men’s Open competitors is below in alphabetical order.

Specifically, he brought an improved lower body and a broader, more detailed back to the stage. Riding a big win, Awodibu is a favorite to snag the W at the NY Pro. And since his victory at the Indy Pro earned him a spot at the 2022 Olympia, he’ll be playing defense — hoping to win and prevent another unqualified competitor from contending in Vegas.
