Men’s Physique Athletes to Watch
Below are three Men’s Physique competitors in contention for first callouts to pay attention to:
Yoon Sung Lee
Leading up to this contest, none of the Men’s Physique athletes have qualified for the 2023 Olympia, nor did any compete in the 2022 Olympia. Yoon Sung Lee was third in the 2023 AGP Men’s Physique Pro contest, displaying potential for future success. His highest career finish in any pro show was second at the 2022 Korea Men’s Physique Pro.
Tom McNarma
McNarma is a rookie making his pro debut at this show. There has been a lot of hype around him in his home country of Australia since turning pro at the 2023 Australian Amateur Grand Prix Pro Qualifier contest in dominating fashion. In five amateur contests, he won four and ranked second in the outlier.
Ajith Raja
Raja of India seeks his first pro win after competing throughout his rookie year in 2022. His career highlight is his fourth-place finish at the 2022 Monsterzym Pro. This will be his first contest of the 2023 season.
Bikini Athletes to Watch
Below are three Bikini athletes who have shown potential to reach first callouts:
Elizaveta Dementera
Elizaveta Dementera may have the most momentum entering this contest, thanks to her silver-medal finish at the 2023 Sheru Classic India Pro three weeks before this show. The Sheru Classic India Pro was her pro debut, and she enters this competition with that initial pro debut feeling out of the way. 26 athletes are already qualified for the 2023 Bikini Olympia, but none of them represent Russia. She could change that with a win here.
Sara Choi
This will be Sara Choi’s third show of the season. Her highest finish was second at the 2023 Musclecontest Japan Pro. She has competed at the Olympia on two occasions, having finished 15th in 2020 and tied for 16th in 2021.
Anita Chen
Chen’s only pro appearance in her two-year career was a second-place finish at the 2022 Taiwan Pro in November of that year. She didn’t win, but her podium finish proved she could reach first callouts in any contest she enters. This will be her 2023 season debut.
