I know its been mentioned but yesterday and for a few weeks now i have been going relatively light on leg press but i keep my toes almost off the press they are so low and close together. Then bring the sled down all the way till you cant possibly get it any lower because your knees are in your chest, then exlode up slow negatives. This kills my vastis medialis and im loving it. They are growing finally. Ive always had a hard time getting them to grow. Other quad muscles develop nicely but these are stubborn on me. I have to make sure i go super super low though. the only part of my shoe thats on the sled is from the front of the arch up heals arent even touching this destroys my quads.
 
You are 100% correct bro !! I do the same thing.. before I started doing these I could NOT quite see the Teardrop.. I knew it was there.. when Flexed it was hard but there was NO actual Definition.. 3 weeks incorporating this Movement, and BOOM it's there.. :D the whole world should know of this movement if they don't already !!

Another good thing to do is to utilize IGF and site inject that area.. some people say that don't work that it dissipates through the whole body evenly.. which yah, that's true, but i believe, and from MY EXPERIENCE, it does have a profound effecr on SITE INJECTION AREA. Worth giving a try bro, I utilize it on Stubborn parts of my body.. and it's always helped.. just something to consider if it stops growing !

another good trick is-when on the leg extension lower the weight slightly, do the rep and at the top of the movement (full contraction) turn your toes outward

i've been doing these like this for quite some time now.....it's almost like doing a laying down sissy squat imo......i can only manage 6-7 plates each side for 12-15 reps, but it's also made my knees alot stronger too......great exercise....i don't do leg presses the traditional way anymore

Shit i went up to 5 plates on each side and i could only get 12, i lowered the stop all the way and went down really slow then let it touch the stop and slowly went back up fuckin killed me. People were looking at me funny i dont think anybody had seen someone use a leg press that went lower then 120 degrees at the knees. I hate watching people put plate after plate on the damn thing and then go down about as far as where the machine latches for safety.

I havent ran IGF in like 2 years im thinking of giving it another go when i get a desk job again. I go hypo easily so doing manual labor like im doing again now isnt an option with igf for me.

I do love this exercise though
