HOW DOES SOMEONE DEFINE THEY ARE NATURAL?

I POSTED THIS ON A NATURAL BODYBUILDING BOARD AND THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO GET SOME RESPONSES FROM THE OTHER SIDE OF THE LIGHT ALSO SO I POSTED IT ON FB AND NOW ON HERE! GIVE THIS SOME GOOD THOUGHT (MIGHT BE HARD FOR SOME) AND POST UP YOUR BEST OPINION!

How do you define natural?

Is that not taking anything to boost muscle growth including prohormones, steroids, diet pills? Or is it not taking steroids?

See alot of people say they are all natural yet loadup on creatine, ephredrine, andro, 1-AD and other things yet call themselves natural!

So I guess this question has some questions of its own in it and isn't that easy to answer! Is someone who takes all those things still natural, or are they not natural since they are using prohormones and other things to build muscle?

Or would you define natural as being using only legal things to boost growth and that makes them natural? Then lets say that all the creatine, andro, glutamine, ephredrine and all the other supplements were banned; would you continue to use them?

It just seems like the definition of natural, is a very easily used and swayed definition that is in fact not defined very well! Maybe "natural" BB's who use supps should call themselves "legally natural bodybuilders" as a more technical term, lol!

good question.. humm.. well.. i guess if you workout without the use of outside stimuli you're clean.. outside stimuli meaning prohormones, eca.. anything that would give you a "fony" burst of some sort.. proteinpowder as far as i see it would go under food.. vitamins as well..
skip la coure or whats he's name is in my eyes NOT a natural bodybuilder..

sidenote .. : prohormones as well as eca is prohibited in norway so.. you might think differantly seeing it's legal in the states.. YA CHEATERS..

hmmm I thought I would get more responses here than fitnessboard!

Its just that there are alot of people that take prohormones that call themselves natural! So how do you really define natural?

i'm all natural except the 500mg of deca and 800 mg of test i do every week if that counts....

...i think anything legal used would classify someone as natural...they (prohormones, creatine, etc) help but they are perfectly legal to take...i always just thought if you dont juice then you are natural...

My opinion is that any substance that someone takes to promote muscle growth in any way cannot be termed natural. Anything that isn't classified as a food item (protein powder, etc.), to me, falls under this category.

Natural bodybuilding is a joke. Just look at what we do in the gym. We tear down muscle tissue in order for it to grow bigger. What the hell is natural about that? I think the word "natural" needs to go. It's a term used by non-juicing bodybuilders to make fun of juicers. They say it to explain that they didn't "cheat" to get where they are. Also, a lot of them (like Skip LaCour) explain that since they are not breaking any laws (by using prohormones, etc..) they are natural. I say they're just beating around the bush. I'm not going to insult my own intelligence by saying, "well, I'm using twenty prohormone pills a day, but at least I'm not juicing." That's retarded. What really pisses me off though, is when some of these guys tell others, like myself, that we can also get like them if we only trained properly, hard enough, and used the proper supplements. Bullshit!! Example, me. My genetics suck. I'm always the hardest working bitch in the gym, always. Everyday I see guys come into the gym with genetics I couldn't dream of and they're talking about how they achieved it naturally, without cheating. Sorry about the rant, it just frustrates me. Anyway, to end it, here's something Craig Titus said, (not direct quote):We respect the guys that decide to compete "naturally," but do they respect what we do....no."
Peace,

and there's nothing natural about me

I use what the good Lord gave me...Testosterone and GH.All natural baby....

Im all natural 100% pure Canadian beef cake! lol

I think if bodybuilding ever becomes an olympic sport people would have to clean it up a lot. With the strict testing they have there there would be no room for ANY drugs let alone steroids (couldent even use an ECA stack or what not). I know I know, a LOT of olympic atheletes are useing and getting away with it but if BBing was there you can be sure that there would be a VERY close eye on it b/c of the stigma atached to bodybuilding and drug use.

I have to enter this into my diary. Err, I mean personal journal. Personal MANLY journal.

I would define the word NATURAL as following a natural training diet and routine without the helping hand of either natural supplements or muscle enhancing supplements.

The term natural supplements, i.e creatine, andro, glutamine, gabba and such aint really classed as natural, as they all help boost muscle growth in one way or anouther.

I believe that natural supplements are derived as natural to seperate them from the illegal AAS, but there still boosters, only legal boosters.

For instance someone on the natural supplement androstendione which apparently boost test levels by upto 300% is deffinately not natural, i.e so someone who takes thisnatural sup claiming to be a natural lifter isnt pheoretically a natural bodybuilder.

To summerize, a natural lifter is someone who follows a standard training nutritional diet and a rgular routine with out AAS cycles or natural supplemnts. vitamins and minerals would be classed as natural.

This is a great question and I've got a feeling that for the most part there are two main ideas here. First that most people who have juiced will say that your not natural if you take prohormones and ECA's. I also think that the people who have not juiced will say that to be natural you just can't use steroids. Ok lets be realistic here people does it really matter. I mean honestly, the people who claim to be "natural" are the people who more than likely have accepted the media's view on roids. I think that the people who have juiced, with the obvious exceptions of a few idiots, are more educated and more dedicated to lifting. So I think its garbage that most people say juicing is cheating, theyre just misinformed. With that being said im still 100% all natural
