The two athletes in the final callout of the 212 Olympia prejudging at the world fitness expo in Orlando, FL, were defending champion Shaun Clarida and his number one contender Keone Pearson. Those two bodybuilders joined the rest of the top 10 bodybuilders from prejudging for the finals at the Orange County Convention Center to determine the 2023 world champion.


After only two callouts following individual posing routines, Keone Pearson was named the new 212 Olympia champion. Below are the full results:

Only two callouts were needed to break the field down from 10 to five. Once again, Clarida and Pearson were in the middle of the last group. The five finalists were able to perform individual routines. Those men were Ahmad Ashkanani, Kerrith Bajjo, Angel Calderon Frias, Pearson, and Clarida.


The top five returned to the stage for a posedown. Pearson and Clarida hugged after hitting most muscular poses with each other. The awards were announced immediately after.


Pearson’s win over Clarida makes Pearson the seventh champion in the division’s history. Pearson, Clarida, and Frias earned qualifications for the 2024 Olympia in Las Vegas, NV, on Oct. 10-13, 2024. The 2023 212 Olympia standings are below:

There are still 10 world championship events to go. Stay tuned to BarBend for the latest developments happening from Orlando as the 2023 Olympia Weekend. Champions for Wellness, Figure, Fitness, Women’s Physique, and Ms. Olympia will be crowned on Friday night. After that, Mr. Olympia prejudging will take place.


Saturday night will feature the finals for Men’s Physique, Bikini, Classic Physique, and the Mr. Olympia contest to close the show.
