Khama Worthy | Esther Lin, MMA Fighting A lightweight bout has been added to the UFC’s second PPV event scheduled for March.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a matchup between Khama Worthy and Jamie Mullarkey is set for UFC 260. The event takes place March 27 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
Worthy will be looking to get back on track after recently having his seven-fight win streak snapped in September. “The Deathstar” began his octagon career with consecutive finishes of Devonte Smith and Luis Pena. In his most recent appearance, Worthy was finished by Ottman Azaitar in the first round in the co-main event of UFC Vegas 10.
Mullarkey will be seeking his first UFC win in his third appearance. The 26-year-old made his promotional debut on the heels of a four-fight winning streak at UFC 243 in October 2019 and lost a unanimous decision to Brad Riddell. He returned a little over a year later at UFC Fight Island 6 where he was defeated by Fares Ziam.
UFC 260 will feature two world title fights, including the main event for the heavyweight strap as Stipe Miocic defends against Francis Ngannou. In the co-main event, Alexander Volkanovski defends his featherweight championship against Brian Ortega.
