I always love to hear these guys who weigh like 165 talk about bulking. The worst advice I ever heard was a response to me giving someone some advice. It was an 18 year old who was coming back from an injury and I talked about making sure he got enough protein and to also make sure he had a good multivitamin and calcium intake was up to make sure his broken leg healed well. I said he also should take in good SLOW digesting carbs. This idiot said yeah like lean red meat. I waited and pulled the person aside and said just ignore that. I think you all know why.
 
actually my favorite was when me and a buddy of mine went into a GNC in west New York and there was this short 250lbs fat chick that was going on and on about the transportation of creatine and we really needed to buy the GNC version of this...

and how most people don't know anything about the value of vitamins and macro nutrients
 
They always try to hock their brand. I am guessing they get more commission. I do like their multivitamins.
 
yeah I use some of their products and they are actually decent

sorta like when I'll be out of town signing up to a new gym and the stupid out of shape fucker behind the desk trys to convince me that I need a personal trainer even though I'm certified myself...uh, yeah
 
This one is funny because it was the "head trainer" at Bally's, about ten years ago when I was a trainer there, and he was telling people that the reason that your muscles get sore after a workout was because the lactic acid that built up during exercise actually crystalized in your muscles. If this actually happened you would probably die of course. This guy had a degree, stupid motherfucker man. He also insisted that the low carb diets still clogged your arteries. He was an avid food pyramid follower.lol
 
I got stopped last year at my biggest weight of 268 and asked if i needed some help getting a routine together and a fitness evaluation. It was some twig kid with an ACE cert. I looked at him asked him what his qualifications were and he then told me. I giggled and said well since im more qualified than you would "YOU" like a fitness evaluation? he sat there and stared at me with a sort of blank stare and i just walked off.
 
yeah I'm the same way, just because I don't want to make friends in the gym-before you know it they are bugging the shit out of you and the whole fucking time you are in there that's all they want to do is talk
 
the craziest thing ive heard is from some guys here who think they 'own' the gym.....they work chest 3 times a week and do back and legs on tues n thurs....now i had figured when i'd seen them doing this they were doing DC type training so i asked and was bluntly told....''what happens when you work out? you get a pump right? so if you continue to work a muscle throughout the week that pumps becomes permanent over time''....in my mind i was like WTF.....one of em always has on a beater n hikes his traps up and looks like a douche lolthe other looks in the imrror every 2 mins....i once said if ur growing ever time u look in that mirror i wanna shot o wat ur chuggin lol
