I stayed away from whey for a long time for post workout because it didn't make sense to me on taking it immediately after even though you body still has to digest it.Stuck with PN's Total Amino BCAAs for a long time post workout and saw results on recovery. The more reading I've done the more the likely use of a hydrolyzed whey was going to happen. I heard a few interviews of George Farrah say that the use of a hydrolyzed whey post was the best thing to take for one the absorption is immediate because it is broken down to peptide form so it disolves immediately and your body doesn't digest it but absorbs it.
I finally broke down and forked over the well deserved cash for PN's Hydro Pro in Natural Chocolate. I'll be honest, I don't thing it matter what flavor you choose, hydrolyzed whey tastes bitter and I would not use it as an every day whey shake or definitely not as a dessert because it tastes pretty bad for that. The chocolate did help though. I have blend whey from PN for my shakes or for making my pancakes plus it is cheaper.
As far as gains I feel more gains and more LBM from it. I only take BCAA's throughout the day or first thing in the morning and have found that doing this stack it is all I need.
Highly recommend it guys. At least once to try it out to see for yourself.
