This may sound like a dumb question, but when you guys/gals set the amount of daily protein needed for growth, do you count all sources of protein. I have been counting animal protein only and none from other sources like peanut butter. Thanks to all who respond..

Just my 2 cent and something that has worked for me while looking to gain or drop LBS. Counting protein, carbs or fat from everything other then the main source is a waist of time. Just complicates things!

not sure what you mean by "other than the main source" , but counting those 3 things is pretty important when trying to diet, make weight, compete and just to stick to a plan to diet down for yourself, so I'm not sure what you meant by "main source"

If I were using chicken, fish and power as my protein source shooting for 300g ED, I didn't count the extra protein in say almonds if that was what I used as my fat source for a meal. Like I wouldn't count the fat in a chicken breast toward my amount of fat grams I needed that day. Just worked for me.
Presser im shoting for 335 gm per day if I go at 1.5 grams per pound of body weight. For some reason I just lost my appetite on this cycle. I have even added EQ to my cycle. Never had this problem before.
As long as I have been training and cycling you would think that I would have all of this down, but for some reason this just made me question my proein intake. I know that animal protein is the protein of choice but with all of the problems that I have had eating enough I just wanted to make sure that what I was taking in was the best source for my needs....
Hey Pumped.. I do count all now. I just had a brain fart. For some reason I thought animal protein was supposed to be the prime source due to the aminos..
