All kidding aside from the post on creatine bro.I have always heard and read that soy protien can raise estrogen so i have always stayed away from.I'll go read the article at true protien and see what else I can find to be sure.But that's the first I've heard that it didn't.

Whey is definitely better. I've always heard that excess soy protein in your diet raises estrogen levels...
 
a good friend of mine developed gyno from drinking soy, his wife only bought soy and he used it for cereal, soy chocolate milk everyday, coffee, soy ice cream everything. Sure he may have overdosed on it but I would keep it to a minimum. I do drink Silk Soy Chocolate Milk from time to time when dieting because it's better than whole milk but I still try and keep it to a minimum
 
Okay, I have a theory--say you use a lot of soy protein and you go on test cyp. If your body senses that you have a high level of estrogenic compounds already, will the test aromatize as much as (or at all) if you didn't take soy? Would the body accept a higher level of testosterone to balance everything out? The reason I ask this is because I am thinking this may be true. What does everyone else think?
 
yeah it will if you drink like 5 gallons of soy milk a day

just stick with the whey bro

I don't think it takes that much to have an effect. The only reason that I brought it up was that I used to take soy protein instead of whey (at the time, whey protein caused me lots of problems since I'm allergic to milk and they didn't process it very well) when I went on HRT in the beginning. I never did get gyno, and I was on 300g/week of test cyp. I'm just thinking out loud really. Anybody else?
 
why even care about soy? it only has approx. 25% bioavailability as opposed to whey being approx. 95-97% for myself i would like to drink a protein drink and have most of the protein i paid for make it to my bloodstream and help me grow. maybe its just me.
