UFC 259 Tweets: Fighters react to Aljamain Sterling’s disqualification win over Petr Yan

Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC Twitter erupted after Aljamain Sterling became the first UFC fighter to win at title via disqualification in a bout against Petr Yan at UFC 259.
Sterling was declared the new UFC bantamweight champion after a bizarre sequence in which he took a blatantly illegal knee from the champion Yan in the fourth round of their title fight on Saturday night at UFC APEX in Las Vegas. When Sterling was ruled unable to continue, referee Mark Smith ruled Sterling the winner via disqualification, making him the new UFC bantamweight champion.
