On Wednesday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission released the medical suspensions for the card.
Despite a dramatic ending to the main event, Aleksei Oleinik escaped his loss to Derrick Lewis with minimal time off with the commission issuing a short suspension until Sept. 23 with no contact until Sept. 8 due to lacerations around his left eye and lip.
Women’s bantamweight contender Yana Kunitskaya wasn’t as lucky, however, after she earned a unanimous decision win over Julija Stoliarenko in a fight featured on the main card. Kunitskaya must undergo an MRL on her neck and right arm and if those results come back positive, she could face a lengthy suspension until Feb. 5, 2021 unless cleared by an orthopedic doctor.
The same fate awaits lightweight contender Scott Holtzman after he fell by knockout to Beneil Dariush this past Saturday night. Holtzman suffered a left inferior orbital floor fracture during the fight and he must have that cleared by a maxillofacial surgeon or he’ll be suspended until Feb. 5, 2021 as well.
Holtzman faces a minimum suspension until at least Sept. 23 with no contact until Sept. 8.
