The Russian put Striegl down with a short counter left hand on the feet but it was the vicious ground and pound that followed that ultimately ended the fight.
A series of brutal punches rendered Striegl unconscious as the referee swooped into rescue him before Nurmagomedov could dish out any more damage.
“I feel great,” Nurmagomedov said after the win. “I didn’t have to get injured or anything, it was over pretty quick. I have great balance. I’m good on the ground.”
CLOCKED IN. CLOCKED OUT.

Said Nurmagomedov needs seconds to finish the job.

The fight had barely got started when Striegl marched forward, which walked him right into the left hand from Nurmagomedov that started the finishing sequence. Nurmagomedovw as relentless on the ground throwing rapid-fire punches until he got the knockout.
Nurmagomedov had shown great potential after first arriving in the UFC 2018 where he promptly knocked off two solid opponents in Justin Scoggins and Ricardo Ramos.
Unfortunately he suffered a loss to Raoni Barcelos in his previous bout but Nurmagomedov obviously bounced back in a big way with his win on Saturday night.
Nurmagomedov moves to 14-2 overall with the win with his UFC record now standing at 3-1.
