slow digesting carbs... bloated?

is it true that when constantly consuming complex carbs
you tend to have more mid section bloat?

i was told by a guy a few weeks ago, when preping for a show one shouldnt load up too much on CC because you body tends to pull more water to the mid section to aid in digestion, which in turn leads to bloating

sound right?
 
I eat slow carbs all day and I always feel bloated. Wouldn't surprise me if it were true.
 
I would think if anything it would be due to the higher fiber count in CC. Depending on how high the soluble fiber count is that would absorb a lot of water (liquid).
 
That's how I feel every friggin' day! I should feel tight and lean and ready to rock, yet I can't get over this bloated feeling everyday. It sucks!!
