Does anyone do half reps for growth? Here's what I'm talking about....
Today was quad day so I start in a power rack and set the pins to where I'm only coming about half way to parallel. I will squat obviously more than I would squat to parallel. I would do a set of these then go to the squat stilts and do box squats at parallel as a superset. I will utilize half reps on occasion to get past plateaus, let my body get used to handling a certain weight before I attempt the weight for a full rep or just to throw a monkey wrench in things to keep the muscles guessing.
I was just curious if anyone else ever did these. They are something different to try to handle more weight and really tax the muscles.
