what do u guys think about deer cube. . you think its probably as lean assay 93/7 beef? its seems very lean. . i have a ton frozen i was thinkin it would probably be just as good as red beef for my lastmeal of the day

not sure what it is brutha? deer meat? if so then yeah man i would think its a great source of protien

you kill it yourself? my stepfather would keep our fridge packed with deer meat, and my mom would call it chicken until i was old enough to know any better, lol

A buddy of mine used to get 93/7 beef and would mix it in with his deer meat and it was very lean. So I'm sure this would be about the same as far as the leanness goes

Sounds good to me. My chiropractor offered to kill a deer for me if I'd pay to have it processed, but I never decided. I think I need to do it.

i wish i could say i killled it but no lol, i got friends that kill them all and give me the meat lol so hard to beat. i cooked a ton of i last night. it seems very lean. i put a little olive oil in and cooked in a skillet! yes, i thought about mixing it with that 93/7 . . the deer actually tasted more lean. . a little tougher

Deer meat is awesome- my dad and I go hunting every year.
He makes deer sausage from it- its great with some egg whites...

man I miss dear hunting, I haven't been in 3 years...always out of town working

another good thing is deer jerky-good source of protein and you can carry it anywhere without it going bad

That's one good thing about living where I do, deer are such a nuisance that no one says too much if you kill them out of season. I mean, hell they have upped the number you're allowed to kill each of the past 3 years simply for this reason

You wont be disappointed.

A few of my co workers went elk hunting and they brought back 3. Got a share of 30# and only paid $2 per pound.

Got to get some broadheads for my compound bow next season and invest in a chest freezer.

I love deer. Deer jerky, deer sausage. The backstrap is the best, if you have the chance to get that. Mmmmm. So to answer you, yes, deer is very lean, at least as lean as 93/7 beef if not leaner and delicious. Make sure you don't overcook it though. Since it has hardly any fat it will get tough fast. It's best rare, IMHO.
