Ok fans of Victor Martinez, here is the scoop on what went down at Vic's hearing today in New York City.
Initially we thought that today's hearing was mainly concerned with some documentation procedures and once the procedures were finished the court would name a date for Martinez' final hearing. But it didn't quite work out that way.
According to our source, a few of the documents were not in order and the announcement of the date of Martinez' final hearing is now postponed until February 24th, 2012. Martinez attorneys believe that the final court date will be sometime in April or May.
There was a bright side for Martinez. A judge approved his application to waive his prior criminal charges.
Currently Martinez remains in mandatory detention without bail. Vic's attorneys think there is a possibility that he might be let out on parole sometime between now and the next hearing on February 24th. However it is also possible that he could stay detained until the final hearing that could be set for sometime in April or May.
According to his attorneys, if all goes well at his final hearing, he could be granted US citizenship.
Our sources say that Victor misses his family, misses his fans, wishes he had a gym and misses training. He looks healthy and rested. They even say that he will come back and be better than ever when he gets out.
Martinez was taken into custody October 9th, 2011 - one day after winning the Arnold Europe in Madrid, Spain - when he was attempting to re-enter the United States.

I feel for him, I also wanted to note that i had posted back on October after this happened that I had heard that he got cought bringing back some sort of illegal tiems, well I was apparently mis-informed and would like to take this time to apologize for even bringing that up, especialy considering how rumors spread through these sites, and i should have known better.

I am almost 100% certain that if he did indeed get cought bringing back anything illegal that it would no doubtedly have come out by now and been made public, So again my sincerest apologies for my original post!

This whole thing with Victor is just fckn sad. Let the pour guy go fckn home!!!!! Our fckn immagration laws are just fckn stupid in my OP. Now remember, I'm half mexican so I really feel for all the latino's that come to this country to do the jobs that no fckn whitey will do but bitch cause an illegal is doing it. This country was built on oppritunity for a better life and damn near all illegal latino's send all their money back to mexico so their family can live. If I offended anyone by writing this, sorry but it just makes me fckn sick!!!!!

It is a fucking shame. Anyone that is here legally has a right to be here in my opinion, if you're not, then get the fuck out. That just goes for any nationality, it's just sad that someone can be here legally then have some shit like this come up. I don't know all the immigration laws, but if he's been here in the past legally then why should that ever change because of some technicality or whatever it was.

I agree 100% on this big time.. But if you have papers and you can do the job you have every right being here !!!! But if not.. GET THE FUCK OUT !!! lol

Guys, they are trying to make an example of him- they are clamping down on the immigration thing- its getting close to election time, and they need someone to make the point.
