Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a 145-pound matchup between Nate Landwehr and Movsar Evolev will take place at the UFC’s event on Dec. 5. The fight card is scheduled to take place at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.
MMA DNA was first to report the featherweight matchup.
After having his seven-fight winning streak snapped by Herbert Burns in his octagon debut at UFC Raleigh in January, Landwehr got back on track with a hard fought decision win over Darren Elkins at UFC Jacksonville in May. “The Train” captured the M-1 Global featherweight title in July 2018 and had a pair of successful title defenses before getting the call to the UFC.
Evloev has won all 13 of his professional fights, including all three of his octagon appearances. The former M-1 Global 135-pound champion has picked up promotional wins over Seung Woo Choi, Enrique Barzola and, most recently, Mike Grundy in July.
The UFC’s Dec. 5 event will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Jack Hermansson and Kevin Holland.
