John Lineker scored his first stoppage victory since a third-round KO over Brian Kelleher in May 2018. | ONE Championship John Lineker couldn’t get the finish in his ONE Championship debut in 2019, but showed his “Hands of Stone” in his second promotional appearance.
Lineker headlined ONE Championship: Inside the Matrix 3 in Singapore, a previously-recorded show that aired Friday, but it was Belingon who began with the attacks, aiming at Lineker’s lead leg early. Lineker fired back immediately with his wild, powerful punches, with Belingon connecting with a pair of spinning back kicks to the body that did not stop Lineker from marching forward.
Lineker switched his strategy a bit in the second stanza, landing vicious shots to the body and mixing it up with punches to the head. And it paid off quickly, as the Brazilian dropped and finished Belingon with a combo just 72 seconds into the round.

“Belingon is very strong opponent, but I did work very hard to be here tonight,” Lineker said in his post-fight interview. “I’m gonna to be the champion. This is the reason why I’m ‘Hands of Stone.’ I came here to drop (people), become the first to knock out Kevin Belingon.”
And Lineker wasted no time calling for a shot at ONE bantamweight champion Bibiano Fernandes, who went 3-1 against Belingon under the company’s banner.
“I’m here to be the champion,” Lineker said. “Hey Bibiano Fernandes, I’m coming for you, baby.”
In the co-main event, former ONE flyweight kingpin Geje Eustaquio battled Min Jong Song in an exciting contest. The 31-year-old Filipino talent came close to choking Song in the third-round, but the victory came via unanimous decision.
“I’m here, back to competition. Ring rust is gone,” Eustaquio said after his win. “We’re looking forward a submission, but, sadly, things went wrong the last five days. That’s why we needed to change plans.”
The card’s first three bouts also went the distance. Brazilian jiu-jitsu star Yuri Simoes, a two-time ADCC gold medalist, made his MMA debut in Singapore, taking on experienced Chinese middleweight Rong Fan.
Simoes got clipped on the feet in the first stanza, but managed to score a takedown and work with his grappling. He was able to take the fight to the ground in the second and early in the third, securing the mount in the final moments of the fight, but didn’t do enough to convince the judges to give him the victory. Fan improved to 14-2 in the sport with a unanimous decision win.
Murad Ramazanov (10-0) remained unbeaten as a professional with a victory over Hiroyuki Tetsuka (9-4), while Koha Minowa edged Lito Adiwang via split decision. Check the complete ONE Championship: Inside the Matrix 3 results below.
