Aliaskhab Khizriev set to make UFC debut vs. Wellington Turman on Feb. 6

Aliaskhab Khizriev stopped Henrique Shiguemoto in just 50 seconds to earn a deal with the UFC. | Zuffa LLC Undefeated Dana White's Contender Series signee Aliaskhab Khizriev will make his first walk to the UFC cage opposite Wellington Turman on Feb. 6, multiple people with knowledge of the booking told MMA Fighting.
The UFC Fight Night show will be headlined by heavyweights Alistair Overeem and Alexander Volkov. The company has yet to announce its location.
Khizriev (13-0) inked a deal with the promotion after making short work of Henrique Shiguemoto at DWCS on Sept. 8, tapping the Brazilian-Japanese middleweight in just 50 seconds.
The unbeaten Russian also holds a sub-minute knockout win over UFC veteran and former WSOF champion Rousimar Palhares, capturing the Fight Nights Global interim welterweight title.
Turman (16-4) was looking to get back on track in the octagon against Sean Strickland on Oct. 31, but got removed from the Las Vegas card after testing positive for COVID-19.
“The Prodigy” went 1-2 so far under the UFC banner, a decision victory over Markus Perez sandwiched by losses to Karl Roberson and Andrew Sanchez.
