The UFC strawweight contender, who was slated to rematch Tecia Torres at UFC 256, announced the news Sunday.
Tested positive for Covid and won’t be fighting next week. Tried to stay as safe as possible during fightcamp but with mma training there’s virtually no social distancing. Was looking forward to running it back, maybe in the near future. #CovidFuckingUpEveryonesSeason #UFC256 pic.twitter.com/karOTjqZO2

Hill (12-9), also a former Invicta FC champion, previously came up short to Torres in their initial fight at UFC 188 in 2014. In their rematch, Hill was looking to get back into the win column after back-to-back split decision losses to Michelle Waterson and Claudia Gadelha earlier this year.— Angela Hill (@AngieOverkill) December 7, 2020
Prior to these setbacks, “Overkill” strung together three straight wins over Loma Lookboonmee, Hannah Cifers and Ariane Carnelossi
Torres (11-5) most recently snapped her four-fight losing skid with a decision over Brianna Van Buren in June. There is currently no word on whether the UFC is looking for a replacement opponent for Torres at UFC 256.
UFC 256 is scheduled to go down on Dec. 12 inside the UFC APEX in Las Vegas. A flyweight title fight between Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Brandon Moreno will serve as the main event.
