Ryan Loco, PFL PFL lightweight champion Kayla Harrison will get another fight in before 2020 comes to close.
Harrsion will face Jozette Cotton in a rematch at Titan FC 66, promotional COO Lex McMahon confirmed to MMA Fighting. The event takes place Dec. 17 at InterContinental Hotel in Miami and will stream on UFC Fight Pass.
ESPN first reported the booking.
After making her featherweight debut in November, Harrison returns to 155 pounds to face Cotton a second time after their first meeting in August 2018, where the 30-year-old Olympian earned a second-round TKO victory in the PFL cage. It was Harrison’s second professional appearance.
After the PFL’s 2020 season was cancelled, Harrison was given permission to fight outside of the organization, and she picked up a second-round TKO win over Courtney King in the main event of Invicta FC 43 this past month. The Olympic gold medalist earned her 2019 PFL lightweight championship with multiple decision wins over Larissa Pacheco — the second of which took place in the title bout — along with submission victories over Morgan Frier and Bobbi-Jo Dalziel.
Cotton (8-2) hasn’t had an MMA fight since her loss to Harrison. “Head Busta” has finished half of her MMA bouts and in March competed in the boxing ring where she fought to a draw.
