Santos (18-3-1) hasn’t been defeated since winning the second season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil in 2013, collecting seven wins and one draw in his eight UFC bouts.
The 40-year-old jiu-jitsu specialist returned from the longest layoff of his MMA career in June 2019, finishing Stevie Ray in the opening round, and then earned a decision against Roman Bogatov this past July in Abu Dhabi.
Dawson (16-1) tapped Adrian Diaz with a read-naked choke at Dana White’s Contender Series to join the UFC, going 4-0 under the bright lights of the UFC since 2019. In his most recent appearance, “KGD” won a decision over Nad Narimani in a 150-pound catchweight bout. This upcoming fight marks Dawson’s first scheduled bout at 155 pounds in the UFC.
The UFC has yet to officially announce a venue and location for the Fight Night show, which features Derek Brunson vs. Kevin Holland in the main event.
