Pitolo, a veteran of Dana White’s Contender Series, aims to right the ship after a rocky start to his octagon career. He is currently 1-3 in the octagon and has lost back-to-back fights, falling short against Callan Potter, Darren Stewart, and, most recently, Impa Kasanganay. Marquez, meanwhile, returns from a 31-month layoff courtesy of a severe shoulder injury that nearly ended his professional fighting career. “The Cuban Missile Crisis” made a splash with a head-kick knockout of Phil Hawes on the Contender Series. He followed that up with a submission of Darren Stewart. But in his previous bout before the layoff, he lost a split call to Alessio Di Chirico that snapped a five-fight streak.
