Peña broke the news on Saturday morning after learning one of Klose’s coaches had tested positive for COVID-19.
I hate this man but it’s with a heavy heart that must inform you guys that the fight has been called off one of Drakkar’s corner tested positive for covid and out of the health and safety for us both the @ufc decided to pull the fight praying that he and his team remain healthy

Multiple people with knowledge of the cancellation told MMA Fighting the Nevada Athletic Commission made the decision to pull the two fighters after the positive test.
Klose (11-2-1) was expected to make the walk to the octagon for the first time since his knockout loss to Beneil Dariush at UFC 248 this past March. This setback not only marked his first stoppage loss but also snapped a three-fight winning streak.
Peña (8-3) was looking to get back in the win column after being submitted by Khama Worthy at UFC Vegas 4 this past June.
The lightweight scrap is the second fight that’s been cancelled since Friday after Rafael Alves came in 11.5 pounds heavy ahead of his scheduled featherweight bout against Pat Sabatini.
