Klose (11-2-1) was expected to make the walk to the octagon for the first time since his knockout loss to Beneil Dariush at UFC 248 this past March. This setback not only marked his first stoppage loss but also snapped a three-fight winning streak.
Peña (8-3) was looking to get back in the win column after being submitted by Khama Worthy at UFC Vegas 4 this past June.
The lightweight scrap is the second fight that’s been cancelled since Friday after Rafael Alves came in 11.5 pounds heavy ahead of his scheduled featherweight bout against Pat Sabatini.
