Jamall Emmers suffers back spasms just before walkout, fight against Chas Skelly scrapped at UFC Vegas 19

According to an announcement made during the broadcast, Emmers suffered back spasms just before he was expected to join Skelly in the cage for their featherweight contest on the prelims.
Unfortunately, Emmers was unable to compete and he was pulled from the fight while medical personnel attended to him backstage.
As for Skelly, it was supposed to be his first fight back in more than a year, but unfortunately, he’ll have to wait for a later date to compete again after Emmers was ruled out of their bout.
“I feel like I should get my win bonus,” Skelly said after the fight was scrapped. “Because I weighed in, I made weight, I stepped in the cage. That’s how I feel. I hope Jamall’s OK. No animosity. It sucks. I have a lot of people who came out here to watch me fight. I have a ton of people who came.
“This was an emotional camp for me because I had a major surgery and I came back and I worked so hard.”
Skelly admitted afterward that because he endures a tough weight cut to get down to 145 pounds, it would be nearly impossible for him to make a quick turn around and compete on one of the upcoming cards, though he obviously hopes to fight again soon.
