Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC Vince Cachero kept showing signs of intelligent defense as Ronnie Lawrence pounded on his head in the third round of their UFC Vegas 20 meeting. But eventually, referee Jerin Valel had seen enough.
After dozens of hammerfists and punches landed on Cachero, Lawrence secured the TKO at 2:38 of the final frame as his opponent tried to roll away after stalling on his hands and knees.

Lawrence set up his finish with an unpredictable attack that left Cachero a step behind. Spinning attacks were followed by a late-round takedown in the first, and repeated calf kicks swept Cachero off his feet several times.
Lawrence’s path to victory became clear in the second as he took control of grappling exchanges and took top position. Quickly advancing position, he nearly secured an arm-triangle. With another slam in the third, Lawrence continued to do damage as Cachero continued to fade.
Contender Series vet Lawrence gets his first win as a UFC fighter and extends his current winning streak to four fights. LFA vet Cachero remains winless in the octagon after two appearance.
