Multiple people with knowledge of the re-booking confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Wednesday following an initial report from MMA Junkie.
The fight was originally scheduled for this past December, but Stamann was forced out of the bout for undisclosed reasons. The UFC then rebooked the fight for February, but Dvalishvili dropped out after he contracted COVID-19.
Now, the two are expected to clash on May 1 as Dvalishvili looks to build on his reputation as one of the top prospects in the 135-pound division after five consecutive wins.
As for Stamann, he’ll look to return to the win column after he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Jimmie Rivera in his previous outing.
The main event for the May 1 card is expected to see former two-time title challenger Dominick Reyes face rising light heavyweight star Jiri Prochazka.
