Ed Herman is looking for his fourth straight victory in the UFC since May 2019. | Esther Lin, MMA Fighting Longtime veteran of the game Ed Herman will face light heavyweight Danilo Marques at UFC’s Fight Night card on June 26, multiple people with knowledge of the booking told MMA Fighting following a report from Combate.
The UFC has yet to officially announce the event’s location and broadcast details, as well as the headliners.
Herman (25-14, 1 no contest) is on a three-fight winning streak. His most recent victory, however, was surrounded by controversy after referee Chris Tognoni treated a knee to the body as a low blow, granting Herman time to recover and eventually come back to submit Mike Rodriguez in the following round.
Marques (11-2) fought Rodriguez in his second UFC appearance in February, submitting his opponent with a rear-naked choke to improve to 2-0 inside the octagon. Marques, a training partner of Fabricio Werdum and Mauricio Rua, won a decision over Khadis Ibragimov in his UFC debut this past September.
