The UFC has yet to officially announce the event’s location and broadcast details, as well as the headliners.
Herman (25-14, 1 no contest) is on a three-fight winning streak. His most recent victory, however, was surrounded by controversy after referee Chris Tognoni treated a knee to the body as a low blow, granting Herman time to recover and eventually come back to submit Mike Rodriguez in the following round.
Marques (11-2) fought Rodriguez in his second UFC appearance in February, submitting his opponent with a rear-naked choke to improve to 2-0 inside the octagon. Marques, a training partner of Fabricio Werdum and Mauricio Rua, won a decision over Khadis Ibragimov in his UFC debut this past September.
