Miocic weighed in at 234 pounds at Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC 260 in Las Vegas, nearly 30 pounds lighter than Ngannou, who came in at 263 pounds. That difference is more pronounced than in their first meeting at UFC 220 in January 2018, when Miocic weighed in at 246 pounds – Ngannou was also at 263 for that fight – and went on to defeat Ngannou by unanimous decision.

Co-main event welterweights Tyron Woodley and Vicente Luque also successfully made weight at 171 and 170.5 pounds, respectively.
Of the 20 fighters scheduled to compete on Saturday’s card, 18 were successful in making weight.

The two weight misses came from light heavyweight Fabio Cherant and welterweight Jared Gooden. Cherant accepted his bout with Alonzo Menifield on less than a week’s notice following the withdrawal of William Knight.
Cherant and Gooden were both granted an extra hour by the Nevada Athletic Commission to attempt a second weigh-in. Should they be unsuccessful, it is still possible that their bouts will proceed as catchweights and they will forfeit a percentage of their purse to their opponents as a penalty.
